Tempisque Tree

This tree plays one of the leading roles in the history of the town of San Vicente, because it was the only hostel in the Spanish families were evicted from San Cayetano Istepeque, Tepetitan, Santo Domingo, Apastepeque and Tecoluca in the seventeenth century. These have taken refuge under the branches of this tree and the story points out that the family groups asked the then Governor of the provinces, Don Alvaro Quiñones of Osorio, granted him founding a new people around the tree of Tempisque River.
